Youth Soccer
Soccer at the YMCA focuses on developing fundamental soccer skills, while also learning teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship.
Spring League (U6- Ages 5 & 6)
These leagues are all about learning and growing. Building a solid foundation in a supportive environment is the focus, and all games are played with heavily modified rules designed to support the success of players as they learn about being a part of a team and get a solid grasp of the fundamental skills. This league will follow US Youth Soccer recommendations for grassroots league format (4 vs.4, no goal keeper, coach/parent game management) and game rules. Additional details below.
- Format: Instructional league offers team practice and play on the same day. The first week of the season will be practice only for one hour. For the remaining weeks, A 20-minute practice will be followed by a league game. Co-ed teams for U6 (5 & 6 years old).
- Participants have a choice of session: Tuesdays (5:15pm-6:30pm) OR Thursdays (5:15pm-6:30pm).
Our volunteer coaches make YMCA youth sports possible and create a lifelong impact on children by encouraging participation and emphasizing sportsmanship. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach, please indicate your interest on registration, we would love to have you join us this season!
